Thank you for being here gentle reader, experiencing different perspectives in my poetry, and reflecting on your own.

And Dear kind Reader. Reflecting on my past nine months of writing poems to be published here, many I find can be considered “Protest Poems”.
(On the main website, these can found in the categories of “Politics”, “Government”and sometimes “Earth”, and usually in the “Non-conscious death anxiety” category.)
(These categories are found just under a poem’s title, on the main website. When clicked on – they take you to a collection of poems in that category.
The tags below the poem on the actual website also help you find poems on these subject too.)
If you often tend to avoid politics, I completely understand why. It naturally triggers death anxiety. So, if in when understanding this – that your natural death anxiety is triggered – let my poems help you experience the safety of feeling whatever you feel about politics by safely reading my protest poems privately.
May this experience broaden and strengthen your capabilities and capacity to withstand politics in all its shapes and form, on TV, in town halls, and inside your own home, and with family.
I grew up with politics and election campaigns happening with an activist dad running for two state positions, and his dad ran for the US Senate, twice. His dad loved Washington, DC, and so do I. I have a Masters in Public Administration, with an emphasis in tribal government, and I even was a high school class president, and ran successful neighborhood activist projects that improved the quality of life for all animals, including people.
Much love, your poet friend Deb
