Where We Die Has Meaning

Her yard’s water puddle she fell into

face down and drowned in –

she loved gardening.

The elevator he fell

over in front of –

Artist Prince

loved elevating great artists.

Found dead in bathtubs, hot tubs, laying on beds –

was a lover, a dad, a mother, a friend

relaxing into some sort of self-care.

dead at home. at work. at a front gate.
in a forest. on a street. in a hospice.

in the air. in a lake, or a steam, tank, cave or ocean.

back of a house. in a car. a garage. in a school or at college.

We all die like we lived.

Think of travelers dead in hotels.

On a curb, behind a couch, inside a nightclub, on a movie set, in the shower, or a hunter suffocated head down – inside a rabbit hole.

At the bottom of a cliff. on a dark or bright highway.
escape and die up inside a hospital or motel room’s ceiling.

hanging from a tree branch or beam.

Where we die, when we die, this will have meaning.
