It’s not enough to love someone

You have to make them feel you do love them

In the in between of the love and the feeling of being loved

is the wet step on the staircase

You stepped over that step

because it was too slippery wet

from crying tears

Go back with the one you love to this skipped over step

Dry that step together

Place a cushion on it

Both of you sit comfortably down on it

Reflect on how you each other didn’t know

or forgot

that to make someone feel loved

remind each other

that death anxiety

won’t allow you to go there
