Got to do it

around the planet’s plans

you thought were yours –

To wake up without an alarm

To eat and drink whenever you wanted to

To open and flow through that last door

To drink in that drink and pee in the nearest toilet

When you sat down and floated inside the metal moving on wheels

you thought you did these plans of yours on your own –

You became wealthy You became poor

You thought that running in the rains Losing those keys

That mistake That last gamble

What you last said

were because

and done

because of the plans you made.
This is another planet made plan.

The planet made them. Not you.

You would not be here and done what you did

without the plans of the gravity

the plans of the rocks

and those of the erosions

and the

minerals

And the decisions of the molecules and waters

to see to it that you are

right where you are now

and are

right where you’ve always been

After polishing up my above published poem, I traveled around online to discover info that could pertain to it and found the relevant lecture above 👆🏼

At the end, in the Q&A, a question about gerrymandering even appeared.
