Cleverly non-introspective Ice Cream
swirls around its mixture of fat and sugar
to make itself significantly special.
It is quite neurotic about this –
and also in being agreeable
and openminded to having as many
creative and expressive adventures as possible.
It tucks itself and melts itself
into an array of cones, floats, milkshakes and sandwiches –
for ordinary or special events.
First dates, birthday’s and ice cream socials are its favorites.
They have a larger cheering audience, than the depressing ones
where it’s eaten by people feeling despair, or who are too quiet, too introspective. It needs to hear out loud it’s well loved,
with smiles and moans of, “I love it”.
Ice Cream has made itself so famous –
it’s the first named choice for desserts
by trained children, nostalgic adults,
teeth with new braces, and post operative surgeries.
Ice Cream even has its own day – The Ice Cream Day – in America today –
on July 20th.
Ice Cream’s go-to sugary fame cleverly designed itself to be craved
for it’s ability to clogs up self-reflection or analyze thoughts.
It’s great for first dates,
forgetting on birthdays it’s another year closer,
and in being in crowds that just want to be distracted
by the twinkling of Ice Cream’s dreamy creamy cleverly
and creatively made – and oh so delicious – non-thinking.
