Throughout my poems I have been mentioning unconscious death anxiety. I am going through this website and editing and replacing the word ‘unconscious’ with ‘non-conscious’.
I decided to use the word non-conscious instead because it more clearly explains when we are unaware of our natural death anxiety. I feel this is more empowering.
We are not helplessly unconscious, blacked-out or in a coma over it. It is just not conscious, yet. All it takes is a reminder to help bring attention to it. This is a mission of my poetry – to provide healthy reminders.
Much love, Deb
