Surfer’s Wide Sad Eyes on Land,

and strong sad legs,

move in large careful slow motion – avoiding

breaking bouncing bumping over

into people, cars, ditches and trees.
Seen inside grocery stores, banks, the post office

in shorts and quick release flip flops,

holding in tight their strong arms, legs and feet,

they’ve become tall tense unhappy metal poles

rigid. inside. a small. tiny space.

that won’t cause harm,

to anyone else.

Unrecognizable

– among the uncluttered waves,

freely flaying stretched out arms

spread out flying Big Sea Birds

happily flapping their wings on surfboards

freely splash crashing into the airs and the waters

with a happy eyed open wide Big Sea Deep clean conscience.
