What to Do When It’s Futile

Put the keys down.

Wash one more full sink of dishes.
Dry them, and put them away.

Sit comfortably down,

and kindly rub both of your knees.

Stretch out one leg and the other, put them both down and

deep deep

belly

breath.

What you can control,

do

what

you

can.

Even a little bit of

creating

order,

goes

along

way,

to get to the next sip of water

and another lighthearted joke.

End the hour

with

giving yourself big and long kind hugs,

other big and long kind hugs,

giving to a long time, life long, good old good friend,

Kind You.
