The Center of the World

A woman of five hundred husbands?

Be center of the world?
I’d rather have one man than many,

and be in love with you.

Be known and loved by billions?

The world’s limelight shines on me?
I chose instead to be at peace

at home in bed with you.

For where is love created?
Where is this endless supply?

How do we know for sure we’re loved?
Is it where we sleep and lie?

I say it’s here at the center of our world

in our marriage of love and gratitude.
And the special blend of our love begins

in the center of my loving you.
