For Aching Voter’s Fingers

There is a hand masseuse

at the polling booths

And a general air here

of “All is Well in the World”

Here there are aching

fingers

and hearts

and brains

of voters who

have not made up their minds

on who to vote for

with their hands.

Touching

Holding

Looking

at the paper ballot,

movements of the fingers can

let go and free Movements

with a single black pen.
